Progression.

My sock. Yipee. Kinda wonky, ask me if I care. Clearly I need some practice but this will be my first pair. It took about 20 restarts to get to this point and there is NO WAY in hell i'm starting over, again. These socks may have brought out my OCD-ness more then ever. Letting go now of some unrealistic (for me) ideal of what a perfect sock should look like. Must move forward.

I really like that yarn -- what is it? Your sock looks fine from here...and don't feel so bad about restarts. You don't want to know how many times I've had to redo the heels and toes of the socks I'm currently making (but I will blog about it anyway).

I think it looks fabulous and that yarn really is nice. Is that the stuff from Black Sheep that you told us about? You'll like the magic loop. Can't wait to show it to you.

They don't look wonky at all . . . and with the self-striping yarn, it's impossible to make a truly matching pair in my experience . . . this is how I learned to knit socks - a favorite project now . . . http://www.diynetwork.com/diy/shows_dkng/episode/0,2046,DIY_18180_36323,00.html

p.s. I came over from Bean's blog, and am also a knitter!
